Mouse Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (OxLDL) ELISA Kit

The assay has a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.6pg/mL, with a reported intra-assay CV of 5.1% and inter-assay CV of 7.9%. It is designed for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse OxLDL. Recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 85-97%) and in plasma 93% (range 87-99%). Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma is documented across dilution ratios from 1:2 to 1:16.

Detection is performed by reading absorbance at 450 nm with a microplate reader. The manufacturer notes that oxidized LDL particles pose a cardiovascular risk when they invade the endothelium, where oxidation—stimulated by necrotic cell debris and free radicals—makes them more readily retained by proteoglycans.
