Quantify Osterix (OSX), the zinc-finger transcription factor encoded by the Sp7 gene and required for osteoblast commitment, in mouse specimens using this ELISA kit from Assay Genie.
The Mouse Osterix (OSX) ELISA Kit ships as a 96-assay configuration and is validated for measuring OSX protein in tissue homogenates and cell lysates. Because Osterix is a defining marker of committed osteoblasts and pre-osteoblasts downstream of Runx2, the kit supports studies of skeletal development, postnatal bone remodeling, osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells, and bone-loss or osteoanabolic intervention models in mice.
Researchers can deploy the assay to track osteogenic progression in vitro, to compare OSX expression across experimental cohorts, and to benchmark results against downstream bone matrix markers such as osteocalcin. The plate-based format produces an absorbance read-out on a standard microplate reader, and reagents are supplied for research use only.
