Mouse Omega-3 fatty acid receptor 1 (O3far1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of natural and recombinant mouse Omega-3 fatty acid receptor 1 (O3FAR1). The assay uses colorimetric detection and is designed for use with mouse samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The target is also known by the synonyms G-protein coupled receptor 120, G-protein coupled receptor GT01, and Gpr120, and functions as a receptor for medium and long-chain free fatty acids, signalling via a G(q)/G(11)-coupled pathway.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.45 ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with average recovery values of 92% for serum (range 86-98%) and 94% for plasma (range 88-100%). The kit is intended for research use only.

O3FAR1 is a multi-pass membrane protein localised to the cell membrane that mediates cellular responses to omega-3 fatty acids and plays a role in regulating inflammation, lipid metabolism and immune function. Dysregulation of the receptor has been linked to metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease and inflammatory conditions, making it a useful biomarker for signal transduction research.
