Mouse Obestatin PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0068)

Obestatin is a 23-amino-acid peptide hormone generated from the same preproghrelin precursor as ghrelin, and it is studied for its roles in satiety signaling, gastric motility, and glucose homeostasis. This Assay Genie kit uses a Competitive ELISA format in which unlabeled obestatin in samples competes with a conjugated reference peptide for binding to the coated antibody, producing a quantitative readout on a standard microplate. The assay has been validated specifically for mouse obestatin with no significant cross-reactivity reported for ghrelin or other structurally related gastrointestinal peptides. The kit is applied in research on metabolic phenotypes, appetite regulation circuits, and gut-brain signaling pathways in murine models of obesity, diabetes, and energy balance.
