Mouse O-phosphoseryl-tRNA (Sec)selenium transferase (Sepsecs) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse O-phosphoseryl-tRNA(Sec) selenium transferase (Sepsecs), a cytoplasmic enzyme that converts O-phosphoseryl-tRNA(Sec) to selenocysteinyl-tRNA(Sec) required for selenoprotein biosynthesis.

The kit is intended for use with mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Sepsecs. The reported detection range is 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. The target protein corresponds to UniProt entry Q6P6M7 and has a molecular weight of 57.7 kDa (527 amino acids), confirmed by MALDI-TOF. Sepsecs functions as a homotetramer formed by a catalytic dimer and a non-catalytic dimer that serves as a binding platform to orient tRNA(Sec) for catalysis.
