Mouse Nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group I member 2 (Nr1i2) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse NR1I2, also known as Orphan nuclear receptor PXR or Pregnane X receptor, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. NR1I2 is a nuclear receptor that plays a critical role in regulating drug metabolism and detoxification processes in the liver and is also involved in mediating responses to environmental toxins and controlling the expression of related genes.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.091 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Linearity in serum (N=5) spans 95–105% to 97–106% across dilutions, in EDTA plasma 97–107% to 86–98%, and in heparin plasma 85–95% to 104–114%. Recovery averages 92% (range 86–98%) for serum and 94% (range 88–100%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse NR1I2.

NR1I2 acts as a transcription factor that activates genes involved in the metabolism and secretion of potentially harmful xenobiotics, endogenous compounds and drugs, binding to a response element in the promoters of the CYP3A4 and ABCB1/MDR1 genes. The protein forms a heterodimer with RXRA, interacts with NCOA1 and localises to the nucleus (UniProt O54915). For research use only.
