The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse NCOR2, with a detection range of 62.5-4000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 31.28pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is 6.3% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 8.1% (CV). NCOR2 is a nuclear transcriptional corepressor that mediates the repression activity of certain nuclear receptors by promoting chromatin condensation, with isoforms 1 and 5 showing different affinities for different nuclear receptors. The protein plays a key role in regulating gene expression and broader biological processes including development, metabolism, and immunity, and is involved in BCL6-dependent regulation of germinal centre reactions through control of GC B-cell proliferation and survival. Dysregulation of NCOR2 has been implicated in cancer, metabolic disorders and autoimmune conditions, making it a useful biomarker for studying these diseases and identifying potential therapeutic targets.
