NFATc1 is a transcription factor that contributes to inducible cytokine gene expression in T-cells, particularly IL-2 and IL-4, and to gene regulation in embryonic cardiac cells. It is required for osteoclastogenesis and influences the differentiation and function of osteoclasts. The analyte is a member of the Nuclear factor of activated T-cells protein family, has a reported molecular weight of 74,328 Da, and is associated with immune response, cell differentiation, and development. Its dysregulation has been linked to autoimmune disorders, cancer, and inflammatory conditions.
