Mouse Norrin (Ndp) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Norrin (NDP, Norrie disease protein homolog) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay specifically detects natural and recombinant mouse Norrin.

Norrin is a secreted signaling protein that activates the canonical Wnt signaling pathway through FZD4 and the LRP5/6 co-receptor, acting in concert with TSPAN12. It plays a central role in retinal vascularization by signaling via beta-catenin (CTNNB1) and LEF/TCF-mediated transcriptional programs, and may also be involved in neural cell differentiation and proliferation. Dysregulation of Norrin has been linked to retinal disorders and vascular abnormalities. The kit's listed research area is cancer.

Detection is by colorimetric ELISA with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. For research use only.
