Quantify mouse Noggin (NOG) protein in research specimens with this immunoassay from Assay Genie, part of the PharmaGenie reagent line for academic and pharmaceutical investigation. Noggin is a secreted homodimeric BMP antagonist that sequesters BMP-2, BMP-4, BMP-5, BMP-6, and BMP-7, blocking their interaction with cell-surface receptors and thereby influencing dorsal-ventral axis patterning, neural plate induction, neural crest specification, joint morphogenesis, and osteoblast differentiation in the developing mouse embryo.

Investigators in developmental biology, regenerative medicine, and skeletal research apply the kit to monitor endogenous Noggin secretion in cell culture models and to compare concentrations across plasma and serum samples from murine models. Validated sample matrices include cell culture supernatants, plasma, and serum, supporting studies ranging from in vitro BMP pathway dissection to in vivo characterization of cartilage, bone, or neural tissues.

Supplied in a 96-assay microplate configuration, each kit contains pre-coated wells, detection reagents, lyophilized standards, and substrate components required to construct a standard curve and interpolate unknown concentrations. Reconstituted proteins should be aliquoted and stored frozen; working dilutions remain stable when refrigerated and protected from light for short-term use, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody binding activity.
