Mouse Nitric oxide synthase, inducible (Nos2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse inducible nitric oxide synthase (NOS2), also known as iNOS, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay reports a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL, and is intended for research use only.

NOS2 is an inducible enzyme that produces nitric oxide (NO), a signalling molecule with diverse functions throughout the body. In macrophages, NO mediates tumoricidal and bactericidal actions, and the enzyme also displays nitrosylase activity, mediating cysteine S-nitrosylation of cytoplasmic target proteins such as PTGS2/COX2. Dysregulation of NOS2 has been linked to inflammatory diseases, cancer and neurological disorders. The kit recognises natural and recombinant mouse NOS2, with a reported intra-assay CV of 5.1% and inter-assay CV of 9.0%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with average recovery of 98% in serum and 100% in plasma.
