Mouse Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (Nampt) ELISA Kit

The target is also known by the synonyms Pre-B-cell colony-enhancing factor 1 homolog, Visfatin, PBEF, NAmPRTase and Pbef1, and functions as the rate-limiting component of the mammalian NAD biosynthesis pathway, with reported roles in metabolism, inflammation, aging and the modulation of circadian clock function.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.158 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Spike-and-recovery is reported as 97% (91–103) in serum and 99% (93–105) in plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase, which is described as a homodimer (UniProt Q99KQ4), and is intended for research use only within the immunology research area.
