Assay Genie's Mouse NGF (Nerve Growth Factor) ELISA Kit is a Sandwich-ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of NGF in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The colorimetric assay uses a microplate read-out at 450 nm ± 2 nm and is completed in 3 h 30 min.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a detection range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, with recovery of 80%–120%. The kit recognises Mouse NGF (UniProt ID: P01139; synonyms: Beta-NGF, HSAN5, NGFB, NGF-B), with no significant cross-reactivity or interference observed between Mouse NGF and analogues. The Sandwich-ELISA principle relies on a pre-coated capture antibody on the microplate; standards or samples are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase conjugate. After washing, a substrate is added that produces a colour change proportional to NGF level, and the concentration is determined from a standard curve.
