Mouse NF-kappa-B inhibitor alpha (Nfkbia) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of mouse NF-kappa-B inhibitor alpha (Nfkbia) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only and recognises natural and recombinant mouse Nfkbia, also referred to by the synonyms I-kappa-B-alpha, IkB-alpha, and Ikba.

NFKBIA is a key regulator of the NF-kappa-B signalling pathway, acting as a cytoplasmic inhibitor of dimeric NF-kappa-B/REL complexes by masking their nuclear localisation signals. On cellular stimulation by immune and proinflammatory responses, it becomes phosphorylated, promoting ubiquitination and degradation and enabling dimeric RELA to translocate to the nucleus and activate transcription. The protein shuttles between the cytoplasm and the nucleus, and dysregulation of NFKBIA has been associated with cancer, autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions, placing it within the immunology research area.

Detection is by colorimetric readout with a stated detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.183ng/mL. Optical density is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery data are provided with the kit.
