Mouse Neurotensin/neuromedin N (Nts) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric ELISA kit enables detection of Neurotensin/neuromedin N in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Neurotensin/neuromedin N.

Quantitative performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 41.2 pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.2% and inter-assay CV of 6.4%. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery ranges are 85-97% for serum (average 91%) and 87-99% for plasma (average 93%). The kit is intended for research use only.

Neurotensin may play an endocrine or paracrine role in the regulation of fat metabolism and causes contraction of smooth muscle. The protein (UniProt Q9D3P9) has a molecular weight of 18.5 kDa, belongs to the neurotensin family, and interacts with NTSR1 and SORT1, supporting cardiovascular research applications.
