Mouse Neuropeptide Y/NPY ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of neuropeptide Y (NPY) levels in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL.

Neuropeptide Y is a key neurotransmitter in the central and peripheral nervous systems, influencing food intake, stress response, and cardiovascular regulation. Dysregulation of NPY has been implicated in obesity, anxiety, and epilepsy, highlighting its value as a potential biomarker. The assay uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin binding and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum (85-105% at 1:2), EDTA plasma (86-102% at 1:2), and heparin plasma (86-100% at 1:2), with recovery averaging 99% in serum, 97% in EDTA plasma, and 94% in heparin plasma.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, dilution buffers, wash buffer, stop solution, plate sealer, and technical manual. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months.
