Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate detection of mouse Neuropeptide FF receptor 2 (NPFFR2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. NPFFR2, also known by the synonyms G-protein coupled receptor 74, Neuropeptide NPFF receptor, Gpr74, and Npff2, is a multi-pass cell membrane protein that acts as a receptor for NPAF (A-18-F-amide) and NPFF (F-8-F-amide) neuropeptides, also referred to as morphine-modulating peptides. The receptor can also be activated by a variety of naturally occurring or synthetic FMRF-amide like ligands and mediates its action through association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. It is involved in the regulation of pain, stress, and feeding behavior, and is a relevant biomarker in neuroscience research.

The assay delivers a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.31pg/mL, with reported intra-assay and inter-assay CV values of 0.0%. Linearity has been evaluated across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (N=5), and the kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Neuropeptide FF receptor 2. Average recovery is 80% in both serum and plasma (range 80-80%). The associated UniProt entry is Q924H0, with a reported molecular weight of 47,449 Da. For research use only.
