Description

This colorimetric ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of the mouse Neuromedin-K receptor (TACR3) in biological samples. Also known as NK-3 receptor, Neurokinin B receptor, Tachykinin receptor 3, NK-3R, NKR, or Tac3r, TACR3 is a receptor associated with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Measuring TACR3 levels in mouse samples supports research into neurotransmission, pain perception, and gastrointestinal function, with potential applications in studies of neurological disorders, chronic pain conditions, and gastrointestinal diseases.

Designed for mouse reactivity, the assay has a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.17ng/mL. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse Neuromedin-K receptor. Reported linearity ranges across dilutions are: serum (N=5) 99-111% at 1:2, 88-100% at 1:4, 98-108% at 1:8, 100-109% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) 107-117% at 1:2, 104-114% at 1:4, 102-112% at 1:8, 88-98% at 1:16; and heparin plasma (N=5) 101-113% at 1:2, 106-118% at 1:4, 105-115% at 1:8, 91-101% at 1:16. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, and recovery data are supplied with the kit. The target is a multi-pass cell membrane protein encoded by the Tacr3 gene (NCBI Gene ID: 21338), with UniProt accession P47937 and a molecular weight of 51,026 Da.

For research use only. The procedure uses a microplate read at 450 nm, and a full component list with storage conditions is provided with the product.
