Mouse Neurogranin (Nrgn) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed to accurately quantify neurogranin (Nrgn) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse neurogranin, with reported synonyms RC3 and Ng, and provides a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 39.5pg/mL.

Precision performance includes an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, and recovery averages 92% (range 86-98%) in serum and 94% (range 88-100%) in plasma.

Neurogranin regulates the affinity of calmodulin for calcium and is involved in synaptic plasticity and spatial learning, with localisation to the cytoplasm, cell junctions, synapses and dendritic spines of a subset of neurons (UniProt P60761). Dysregulation of neurogranin has been linked to neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia. The kit is intended for research use only.
