Mouse Neurocan (NCAN) ELISA Kit

This Mouse Neurocan (NCAN) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of neurocan, a chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan highly expressed in the central nervous system and a key structural component of the brain extracellular matrix. Neurocan modulates neurite outgrowth, axon guidance, and synapse formation during development, and has been implicated in GWAS-linked risk for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. The capture and detection antibodies included in this kit are raised against mouse neurocan and have been validated on murine brain tissue homogenates, with negligible cross-reactivity to the human or rat orthologs under standard assay conditions. Researchers studying CNS development, perineuronal net remodeling, or psychiatric disease biomarkers use this kit to quantify neurocan across brain regions and other relevant samples.

The kit is supplied as a chromogenic microplate-based assay with lyophilized standard and detection antibody, and accommodates tissue homogenates as well as dilute preparations derived from neural tissue.
