Mouse Necdin (Ndn) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed to measure Necdin (Ndn) levels in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with mouse samples and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Necdin.

The assay covers a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.074ng/mL, with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Necdin is a growth suppressor that facilitates entry of the cell into cell cycle arrest; functionally similar to the retinoblastoma protein, it binds to and represses the activity of cell-cycle-promoting proteins such as SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, and the transcription factor E2F. It also interacts with p53 in an additive manner to inhibit cell growth and acts as a transcription factor by binding directly to specific guanosine-rich DNA sequences. The protein (UniProt P25233) is mainly cytoplasmic and translocates to the nucleus where it associates with the nuclear matrix. Dysregulation of Necdin has been linked to conditions such as neurodevelopmental disorders and cancer.
