Mouse Natural resistance-associated macrophage protein 2 (Slc11a2) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Natural resistance-associated macrophage protein 2 (SLC11A2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.

The kit detects both natural and recombinant mouse SLC11A2, also referenced by synonyms including Divalent cation transporter 1, Divalent metal transporter 1, Solute carrier family 11 member 2, DMT-1, NRAMP 2, Dct1, Dmt1, and Nramp2. The reported detection range is 31.2–2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 15.72 pg/mL. SLC11A2 is involved in metal transport, particularly iron, contributing to apical iron uptake into duodenal enterocytes, iron transport from acidified endosomes into the cytoplasm of erythroid precursor cells, and hepatic iron accumulation and tissue iron distribution.
