Mouse NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 8, mitochondrial (Ndufs8) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 8, mitochondrial (Ndufs8), also known by the synonyms Complex I-23kD, NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase 23 kDa subunit, and CI-23kD. The target is a core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), involved in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain, with ubiquinone believed to be the immediate electron acceptor. Ndufs8 belongs to the complex I 23 kDa subunit family, and defects in the gene have been associated with Leigh syndrome, a severe neurological disorder characterized by bilaterally symmetrical necrotic lesions in subcortical brain regions.

The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for the natural and recombinant mouse protein. It reports a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL.
