Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 7, mitochondrial (Ndufs7). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with reactivity specific to mouse samples and is intended for research use only. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Ndufs7 is a core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), which functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain, with ubiquinone believed to be the immediate electron acceptor. The protein belongs to the NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein family, is located in the mitochondrion, and has a reported molecular weight of 24,683 Da (UniProt Q9DC70). Complex I is composed of 45 different subunits, and Ndufs7 is a component of the iron-sulfur (IP) fragment of the enzyme. Dysregulation of NDUFS7 has been associated with metabolic disorders and mitochondrial diseases, and the kit is offered within the Neurosciences research area.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.86pg/mL, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Ndufs7. Synonyms for the target include Complex I-20kD, NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase 20 kDa subunit, and CI-20kD. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity, and recovery data are provided with the kit.
