NQO1, a cytosolic flavoenzyme also known as DT-diaphorase, plays a central role in cellular defense against oxidative stress and electrophilic toxicity by catalyzing the two-electron reduction of quinones to hydroquinones. The Assay Genie Mouse NADH Dehydrogenase, Quinone 1 (NQO1) ELISA Kit provides quantitative measurement of NQO1 protein in mouse-derived samples using a plate-based immunoassay workflow, supporting studies of phase II detoxification, the Nrf2-ARE antioxidant response pathway, and cancer biology, where NQO1 is frequently overexpressed in tumor tissue.

The assay accepts tissue homogenates and cell lysates, supporting standard workflows in mouse pharmacology, toxicology, and oxidative stress research. Investigators working with Nrf2 knockout or knock-in mouse strains, or evaluating chemopreventive compounds that induce NQO1 expression, can use this kit to track enzyme levels across treatment groups and genotypes. Monitoring NQO1 induction in response to candidate protective compounds gives a direct readout of antioxidant pathway activation and xenobiotic response element signaling.

Supplied as a complete kit with a microplate pre-coated with capture antibody, the protocol produces a measurable color change that correlates with NQO1 concentration in each well. Standard curves generated from serial dilutions of the provided reference standard allow interpolation of unknown samples. All necessary reagents, buffers, and protocol documentation are included for research use only and in vitro studies using mouse-derived samples.
