Description

Assay Genie supplies a Sandwich ELISA Kit intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse NAD-dependent protein deacetylase sirtuin-7 (Sirt7), also referred to by the synonyms Regulatory protein SIR2 homolog 7, SIR2-like protein 7, and Sir2l7. The kit is for research use only and is reactive with mouse samples, targeting both natural and recombinant forms of the protein.

The assay is read by ELISA, with a stated detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.087ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.8%. Recovery has been evaluated with serum, giving an average of 88% (range 82-94%), and with plasma, giving an average of 90% (range 84-96%).

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. According to the supplied UniProt annotation (Q8BKJ9), SIRT7 is an NAD-dependent protein deacetylase that specifically mediates deacetylation of histone H3 at 'Lys-18' (H3K18Ac), acting as a transcription repressor and contributing to rRNA transcription. The protein is localised to the cytoplasm, nucleus, and nucleolus.
