Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse NAD-dependent deacetylase sirtuin-5 (SIRT5). It uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for mouse samples.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.086 ng/mL. Precision is supported by an intra-assay CV of 6.4% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity has been validated across multiple sample matrices: serum at 104–114%, 107–117%, 101–111%, and 94–103% across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions; EDTA plasma at 80–93%, 97–107%, 109–119%, and 93–103%; and heparin plasma at 107–119%, 105–115%, 103–113%, and 111–111%. Average recovery is 88% (range 82–94%) for serum and 90% (range 84–96%) for plasma. The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant mouse NAD-dependent protein deacylase sirtuin-5, mitochondrial.

SIRT5 is an NAD-dependent lysine demalonylase, desuccinylase and deglutarylase that regulates processes including fatty acid oxidation, energy production, and ammonia detoxification during fasting through desuccinylation and deglutarylation of CPS1. Dysregulation of SIRT5 has been linked to metabolic disorders and cancer, making this kit a useful tool for research into cellular metabolism and stress response. For research use only.
