Arylamine N-Acetyltransferase 1 (NAT1) catalyzes the transfer of acetyl groups from acetyl-CoA to aromatic amines, hydrazines, and heterocyclic amine substrates, and this mouse-reactive immunoassay kit from Assay Genie enables quantification of NAT1 protein in laboratory mouse specimens intended for research use only. The in vitro assay supports pharmacogenomic, toxicology, and chemical carcinogenesis studies comparing N-acetylation capacity across different inbred mouse strains, and examining how dietary and environmental arylamine exposures regulate NAT1 expression in hepatic, renal, and bladder tissues.

Supplied as a 96 assays kit, the reagents are validated for measurement in mouse tissue homogenates and run on standard microplate absorbance readers following the protocol provided in the product insert. Reagents should be stored at the temperatures specified in the manual, protected from light, and equilibrated to room temperature prior to plate setup. Each kit includes a pre-coated capture antibody microplate, biotinylated detection reagent, standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution.

Typical research applications include profiling NAT1 expression across mouse strains representing rapid and slow acetylator phenotypes, evaluating arylamine-induced bladder carcinogenesis models, and characterizing the influence of dietary heterocyclic amines on phase II xenobiotic metabolism.
