Mouse Myosin VA (MYO5A) ELISA Kit

The Mouse Myosin VA (MYO5A) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of MYO5A protein concentrations in mouse tissue homogenates. Myosin VA is an actin-based molecular motor of approximately 215 kDa that drives intracellular vesicle transport along actin filaments, with particular importance for melanosome trafficking in melanocytes and cargo movement in neuronal dendrites. Mutations in MYO5A cause Griscelli syndrome type 1, a condition marked by hypopigmentation and neurological impairment, so this kit is widely used in research on pigment cell biology, neuronal transport mechanisms, and cytoskeletal motor protein function. The microplate-format kit is supplied with reagents in individual vials and a pre-coated plate, and the in vitro assay requires a 50 µL sample volume.
