Mouse Myosin regulatory light polypeptide 9 (Myl9) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie, designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Myosin regulatory light polypeptide 9 (Myl9), also referred to as Myosin regulatory light chain 2 smooth muscle isoform, Myosin regulatory light chain 9, or Myrl2. The assay uses colorimetric detection and is validated for mouse serum and plasma samples, with broader applicability to tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39.8 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.3%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.4%. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Myl9 and is intended for research use only.

Myl9 is a myosin regulatory light chain (UniProt Q9CQ19, molecular weight 19,854 Da) that controls smooth muscle and non-muscle contractile activity through phosphorylation, with roles in cytokinesis, receptor capping, and cell locomotion. Dysregulation of MYL9 has been implicated in smooth-muscle-related disorders including hypertension and asthma, positioning it as a valuable biomarker for disease research.
