Mouse Multiple coagulation factor deficiency protein 2 homolog (Mcfd2) ELISA Kit

The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse MCFD2 and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.

Quoted performance characteristics from the product insert include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL, sensitivity of 15.63pg/mL, intra-assay CV of 8.3%, and inter-assay CV of 10.3%. Recovery in serum averages 91% (range 85-97%) and in plasma averages 93% (range 87-99%). Linearity spans 86-120% in serum, 93-112% in EDTA plasma, and 86-117% in heparin plasma across dilution series. Absorbance is read at 450 nm with a microplate reader.

MCFD2 is also known by the synonyms Neural stem cell-derived neuronal survival protein and SDNSF. The protein forms a complex with LMAN1 that acts as a specific cargo receptor for the ER-to-Golgi transport of selected proteins and plays a role in the secretion of coagulation factors. It localises to the endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment, endoplasmic reticulum, and Golgi apparatus. For research use only.
