Mouse Multidrug resistance protein 2 (Abcb4) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Multidrug resistance protein 2 (ABCB4), also referred to as ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 4, P-glycoprotein 2, Mdr2, Pgy-2, or Pgy2. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The kit offers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.088 ng/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 8.0% and an inter-assay CV of 10.0%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (94–125% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (86–119%), and heparin plasma (94–119%). Mean recovery is 104% (range 98–110%) for serum and 106% (range 100–112%) for plasma. The antibody pair is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Multidrug resistance protein 2.

Multidrug resistance protein 2 is an energy-dependent efflux pump involved in decreased drug accumulation in multidrug-resistant cells, although mouse MDR2 on its own is not capable of conferring drug resistance. The protein localises to the membrane as a multi-pass membrane protein and interacts with HAX1. The kit is categorised for cardiovascular research and is intended for research use only.
