Mouse Multidrug resistance-associated protein 6 (Abcc6) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA with colorimetric detection from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Multidrug resistance-associated protein 6 (Abcc6) in mouse samples. The kit accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and the antibody pair specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse Abcc6. The target, also known as ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 6 or Mrp6, corresponds to UniProt entry Q9R1S7 and is described as a basolateral cell membrane multi-pass membrane protein.

Manufacturer-reported performance figures include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39.9pg/mL, an intra-assay coefficient of variation of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.8%. Linearity was assessed in serum (92-101% at 1:2 to 104-114% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (106-118% to 87-97%) and heparin plasma (95-104% to 101-113%). Reported recovery averages 104% for serum (range 98-110%) and 106% for plasma (range 100-112%).

ABCC6 belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily and may participate directly in the active transport of drugs into subcellular organelles or influence drug distribution indirectly. Defects in ABCC6 cause pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE) and arterial calcification of infancy, generalised, type 2 (GACI2). The kit is supplied for research use only.
