Mouse Mucin-4 (Muc4) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Mucin-4 (Muc4) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples only and is intended for research use only.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.166ng/mL. The kit detects both natural and recombinant mouse Mucin-4 and is suited to cancer research. Mucin-4, also known by the synonyms Ascites sialoglycoprotein, Pancreatic adenocarcinoma mucin, Testis mucin, ASGP and MUC-4, is a single-pass membrane protein (UniProt Q8JZM8). MUC4 may play a role in tumor progression and has anti-adhesive properties, seeming to alter cellular behavior through effects on cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix interactions; it also acts as an intramembrane ligand for ERBB2 and plays an important role in cell proliferation and differentiation of epithelial cells.
