Mouse Mucin-15 (Muc15) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Mucin-15 in mouse samples. The kit is intended for research use only and is reactive with mouse species, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Mucin-15 (synonym: MUC-15). It is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and supports work in the Signal Transduction research area.

The assay is colorimetric with a reported detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL. The target is a single-pass type I membrane protein (UniProt Q8C6Z1) that may play a role in cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix, with dysregulation of MUC15 expression implicated in inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, and certain cancers. Mucin-15 has a reported molecular weight of 36,383 Da. Storage conditions differ by kit component (–20°C or 4°C as detailed in the insert), and the product is shipped at +4°C.
