Description

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse MSP/MST1 (Macrophage-stimulating protein 1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm after TMB substrate development. The associated Uniprot identifier is P26928, and listed synonyms include MSP, MST1, Mst1, Hgfl, and Hepatocyte growth factor-like protein.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and an assay range of 3.125-200 ng/mL. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C and remain stable for 12 months. Reported linearity for serum (n=5) is 87-104% at 1:2, 86-100% at 1:4, and 86-103% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5) it is 83-94%, 83-100%, and 82-100%; for heparin plasma (n=5) it is 91-95%, 81-100%, and 89-98%. Spike-and-recovery performance shows ranges of 86-104% for serum (average 92%), 92-104% for EDTA plasma (average 96%), and 89-104% for heparin plasma (average 99%). The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples for a 90-minute incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute detection antibody binding step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin incubation, and 10–20 minutes of TMB color development in the dark before stop solution is added and absorbance is read.
