The Mouse MCP5 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie quantitatively measures Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 5 (also known as CCL12), a murine CC-chemokine involved in monocyte recruitment and eosinophil trafficking during inflammatory responses. The microplate-based assay relies on matched antibody pairs with a biotinylated detector and streptavidin-HRP reporter, producing an absorbance signal suitable for standard plate-reader quantification.

Key performance specifications include a standard curve detection range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity below 9.375 pg/mL, and a recommended sample volume of 50 uL per well. The assay tolerates serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants, supporting applications in mouse models of airway inflammation, allergic asthma, parasitic infection, and monocyte recruitment studies.

Each kit supplies reagents for one full microplate and includes lyophilized recombinant mouse MCP5 standards, assay diluent, wash buffer concentrate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, and stop solution. Reagents should be refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C upon arrival; reconstituted standards and unused aliquots are best stored frozen at -20 degrees C, protected from light, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided.

This ELISA kit is intended for research use only and is well suited to cytokine profiling in lung and spleen tissue homogenates, serum biomarker analysis in murine inflammation models, and in vitro chemokine secretion studies from cultured macrophages or bone-marrow-derived dendritic cells.
