Mouse MMP8 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Mouse MMP8 (Matrix Metalloproteinase 8), also known as Collagenase 2 and neutrophil collagenase, in mouse samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. MMP8 is a key enzyme in extracellular matrix remodeling, where it mediates collagen breakdown, and its dysregulation has been implicated in inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and periodontitis. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, intended for research into inflammation and tissue remodeling.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8: serum (n=5) shows 87-105%, 85-101% and 81-96%; EDTA plasma (n=5) shows 93-105%, 83-93% and 84-98%; heparin plasma (n=5) shows 85-103%, 86-98% and 82-98%. Recovery ranges are 87-102% in serum (average 93%), 87-101% in EDTA plasma (average 92%) and 85-105% in heparin plasma (average 91%). Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay workflow includes equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, color development with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Sample preparation protocols are provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant and cell lysate.
