Mouse MMP-7 (Matrix Metalloproteinase 7) CLIA Kit (MOES00437)

This chemiluminescence (CLIA) kit from Assay Genie enables the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse MMP-7 (Matrix Metalloproteinase 7) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. It uses a sandwich CLIA format in which the micro plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse MMP-7, with detection via a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate. The Relative Light Unit (RLU) value is measured on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer and is positively associated with the concentration of Mouse MMP-7 in the sample.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 15.63–1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 9.38 pg/mL, an assay time of 4.5 hours and a sample volume of 100 μL. Intra-assay and inter-assay CV are both stated as < 15%. The kit recognizes Mouse MMP-7 in samples, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse MMP-7 and analogues observed. Mouse MMP-7 is also referred to by the synonyms MMP7, MPSL1, PUMP-1 and Matrilysin and is classified under cell biology research; the protein is involved in extracellular matrix degradation and tissue remodeling and plays roles in wound healing, tissue repair, inflammation and cancer progression. Linearity testing in serum, EDTA plasma and cell culture media at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions yielded average recovery values between 94% and 109% across sample types. Spike-and-recovery testing showed serum and EDTA plasma both averaging 93% recovery, while cell culture media averaged 100%.
