Mouse MMP-2 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1482)

The Mouse MMP-2 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie quantitatively measures matrix metalloproteinase-2, a zinc-dependent endopeptidase (also called Gelatinase A or 72 kDa type IV collagenase) that degrades type IV collagen, gelatin, fibronectin and laminin during extracellular matrix remodeling.

MMP-2 is widely studied in mouse models of tumor invasion, angiogenesis, wound healing, arthritis and cardiovascular remodeling, where researchers compare protein levels across cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum samples to track disease progression or treatment response.

The assay is supplied in a microplate format with pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant MMP-2 standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate and wash, dilution and substrate buffers. A typical reaction uses 100 µL of diluted sample per well, run alongside a standard curve generated from a serial dilution of the provided reference antigen.

This kit is calibrated specifically for mouse samples and shows no significant cross-reactivity with MMP-9 or other closely related matrix metalloproteinases, supporting clean quantitation of MMP-2 in biological matrices.
