Description
This colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed to measure MMP-1 (Matrix Metalloproteinase 1) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, with a sample volume of 100 μL. The stated assay time is 3 h 30 min, and the listed research areas are cancer, cell biology, cardiovascular research and signal transduction.
Performance specifications are a sensitivity of 75 pg/mL, a detection range of 125-8000 pg/mL and recovery of 80%-120%. In the reported recovery study, EDTA plasma (n=8) showed a range of 94-107% with an average of 101%, while cell culture media (n=8) showed a range of 87-98% with an average of 93%. Intra-assay precision CV values were 6.6%, 5.56% and 4.91%, and inter-assay precision CV values were 8.84%, 8.7% and 7.05%.
The kit recognises mouse MMP-1, and no significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse MMP-1 and analogues was observed. Supplied components include a dismountable micro ELISA plate, reference standard and sample diluent, concentrated biotinylated detection antibody, concentrated HRP conjugate, detection antibody and HRP conjugate diluents, concentrated wash buffer, substrate reagent, stop solution, plate sealer, technical manual and certificate of analysis. MMP-1 is described as a key enzyme involved in extracellular matrix remodeling, with a role in tissue repair, inflammation and cancer progression.
