Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.082ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.9% and inter-assay CV is 8.8%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (99-109% at 1:2, 92-102% at 1:4, 104-114% at 1:8, 98-108% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (86-95% at 1:2, 99-108% at 1:4, 101-111% at 1:8, 106-115% at 1:16), and heparin plasma (105-117% at 1:2, 108-117% at 1:4, 102-112% at 1:8, 100-109% at 1:16). Recovery in serum averages 85% (range 80-91%) and in plasma averages 87% (range 81-93%). The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse mineralocorticoid receptor.
