Mouse Midkine ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of midkine in mouse biological samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is intended for research applications in developmental biology, supporting investigation of midkine's roles in cell growth, differentiation, survival, inflammation, and tissue repair, as well as its involvement in cancer and neurodegenerative disease.

The assay detects mouse midkine with a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL across a standard range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported recovery ranges from 85–104% in serum (average 98%), 93–102% in EDTA plasma (average 98%), and 86–101% in heparin plasma (average 92%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions falls between 85–102% for serum, 82–101% for EDTA plasma, and 80–100% for heparin plasma. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody at 37°C for 60 minutes, binding HRP-streptavidin at 37°C for 30 minutes, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm immediately after adding stop solution.
