Mouse Microtubule-associated protein 2 (Map2) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2), this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognizes both natural and recombinant mouse MAP2. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.075 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 6.9% and inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma — for example serum 85–98% at 1:2 and 101–113% at 1:16; EDTA plasma 112–120% at 1:2 and 101–111% at 1:16; heparin plasma 107–117% at 1:2 and 99–110% at 1:16. Spike-and-recovery values average 88% (range 82–94%) for serum and 90% (range 84–96%) for plasma.

MAP2 is a member of the microtubule-associated protein family thought to stabilize microtubules against depolymerization and to exert a stiffening effect on them, and is expressed at high levels in neural tissue. Its dysregulation has been linked to neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, supporting its use as a biomarker in neuroscience research.
