Mouse MGP (Matrix Gla Protein) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of matrix Gla protein in mouse samples, this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Matrix Gla protein is an important regulator of vascular calcification and plays a key role in maintaining vascular health, and its dysregulation has been linked to cardiovascular disorders and osteoporosis. The kit uses a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL, and a standard curve range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL.

Performance validation includes linearity testing in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, and recovery ranges of 87–103% (average 96%) in serum, 85–97% (average 92%) in EDTA plasma, and 87–105% (average 95%) in heparin plasma. The assay procedure includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
