Mouse Metaxin-2 (Mtx2) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise measurement of mouse Metaxin-2 (MTX2), this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative detection in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit recognises natural and recombinant mouse Metaxin-2 with a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.08 ng/mL, supporting research into mitochondrial outer membrane import and protein transport into the mitochondrion.

Performance characteristics include an Intra CV of 7.2% and an Inter CV of 8.8%. Linear dilution recovery is reported at 108–118%, 96–107%, 98–108% and 102–114% for serum, 100–109%, 105–114%, 95–104% and 105–115% for EDTA plasma, and 103–113%, 110–118%, 100–110% and 100–110% for heparin plasma across the tested dilution series. Spike-and-recovery averages are 89% (range 83–95%) for serum and 91% (range 85–97%) for plasma.

Metaxin-2 is localised to the mitochondrial outer membrane and associates with the MICOS complex and MTX1/metaxin-1, with a reported molecular weight of 29,758 Da and UniProt entry O88441. The kit is supplied as a colourimetric ELISA and is intended for research use only.
