Mouse Metallothionein-1/Mt1 ELISA Kit

A double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Metallothionein-1 (MT1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The procedure uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), with TMB substrate developed in the dark for 10–20 minutes and absorbance read at 450 nm after the stop solution is added.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) was 87–99% at 1:2, 88–95% at 1:4 and 82–99% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 92–104%, 82–101% and 80–99%; in heparin plasma (n=5) 88–102%, 83–97% and 86–98%. Recovery in serum (n=5) was 92–103% (average 98%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 85–104% (average 96%) and in heparin plasma (n=5) 91–99% (average 96%).

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The kit is associated with Uniprot entry P02802 and is suited to research on metal homeostasis, heavy-metal detoxification, and conditions such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders and metal poisoning.
