Mouse Metalloproteinase inhibitor 4 (Timp4) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie supports quantitative measurement of mouse Metalloproteinase inhibitor 4 (Timp4), also referred to as Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 4 or TIMP-4. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Metalloproteinase inhibitor 4.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.174 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.5%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.0%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with reported recovery averages of 83% for serum and 85% for plasma. TIMP4 is a secreted protein that complexes with metalloproteinases such as collagenases and irreversibly inactivates them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor, making the kit relevant to cardiovascular research and to studies of extracellular matrix remodelling, tissue repair, cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
