Mouse Mcpt8/Mast cell protease 8 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of mouse MCPT8 (Mast Cell Protease 8), a serine protease associated with mast cell biology, inflammatory responses, and immune regulation. It is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The target protein is also referred to as Mcpt8 and mMCP-8.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 1.875 mIU/mL and an assay range of 3.125–200 mIU/mL, with colorimetric detection via TMB substrate and absorbance measured at 450 nm. Linearity across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma falls between 81% and 105% at serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 (n=5 per matrix). Recovery ranges are 92–105% for serum, 85–101% for EDTA plasma, and 85–95% for heparin plasma, with corresponding averages of 92%, 92%, and 96%.

The procedure uses sequential incubations with a biotin-labelled detection antibody, an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, making the kit suitable for research applications such as studies of mast cell function, allergic reactions, autoimmune disease, and tissue remodelling. Unopened components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
