Quantitative measurement of Melanoma Cell Adhesion Molecule (MCAM, also known as CD146) in mouse samples is enabled by this colorimetric immunoassay from Assay Genie, applied across research areas including angiogenesis, vascular biology, tumor metastasis, and inflammation.

MCAM/CD146 is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on endothelial cells, mesenchymal stem cells, and activated T lymphocytes, where it mediates cell adhesion and leukocyte transmigration. The kit is configured for 96 assays and supports studies in cell culture models as well as in vivo mouse research. Sample input includes cell culture supernatant preparations, with additional compatibility for plasma or serum specimens from mouse sources.

Each kit provides pre-coated plate wells, recombinant MCAM/CD146 reference standards, detection antibody, substrate solution, and buffer reagents needed to complete the run. The colorimetric endpoint is read on a standard microplate reader, and unknown sample concentrations are interpolated from the standard curve generated with the supplied calibrators.
